Three halls,
one standard.

Weddings and receptions, tilak and mundan, sangeet evenings, birthdays, board meetings and training days — all on one floor, with our own kitchen behind them and one coordinator who stays with you until the last guest leaves.

Why Basera for your day

One building holds the whole event.

Most families in Samastipur end up running between three vendors — a hall here, a caterer there, rooms somewhere else. Here the hall, the kitchen and the rooms are the same address. The food comes out of Mezbani's kitchen downstairs, your outstation relatives sleep two floors below, and one person from our side owns the timeline for the day.

That is the whole idea: fewer people to chase, and a single number to call when something needs changing at 9 in the evening.

The halls

Pick the room that fits the guest list.

Tap any hall to see how many it seats in each layout, what it suits, and what comes with it.

Decor & stage

The room does not come bare.

Decor and stage setup come with the hall. You tell us the occasion and the colours you want; we build the backdrop, the seating and the lighting around it.

Colours are yours to pick These are setups we have built before, not a fixed catalogue. Bring a photo of what you have in mind and the events desk will tell you what it takes — or leave it to us and we will put something together for the occasion.

Capacity

How many fit, by seating style.

The same hall holds very different numbers depending on whether people are standing at a buffet, sitting at round tables, or facing a stage in rows.

Bars are drawn against Jalsa's 400, so the three halls compare at a glance. Figures are indicative — the events desk confirms the exact number once your stage, decor and buffet layout are placed.

On the day

Who is doing what, and when.

You will be busy with your guests. This is the part we own, so nobody from your family has to stand in the kitchen door watching the clock.

THE WEEK BEFORE

Everything gets written down

Guest count, timings, menu, decor colours, who arrives when. Your coordinator confirms it back to you in writing so nothing is left to memory on the day.

MORNING OF

The hall is set

Stage, backdrop, seating, sound and lighting go in. You are welcome to come and look before guests arrive — changes are easier now than at seven in the evening.

AS GUESTS ARRIVE

Welcome, then seating

Someone from our side is on the entrance and on the gate for parking. Outstation family staying upstairs come down without stepping outside the building.

SERVICE

The kitchen runs to your timing

Mezbani's kitchen is on the same premises, so counters are stocked hot rather than trucked in. Your coordinator holds or starts service on your word, not the clock's.

AFTER

We close the hall

Clearing, packing and the gift table are ours. You go up to your room, or home, without a second shift.

Packages

Built around the occasion, not a price list.

Every one of these starts from the same base — hall, decor and stage, catering from our kitchen, sound and lighting, parking and a coordinator. What changes is everything around it.

Why there are no prices here A wedding-season Saturday in Jalsa and a weekday conference in Baithak are not the same number, and a per-plate figure means nothing until the menu and guest count are set. Send us the date and a rough count and the events desk gives you one full figure — hall, decor, catering and taxes together — rather than a headline price that grows later.

What comes with the hall

Mezbani, the in-house restaurant whose kitchen caters every function at Basera Hotel

Catering

The same kitchen that runs Mezbani.

Your function is not handed to an outside caterer. It is cooked by the team that runs our restaurant every day — 264 dishes on the regular menu, from Dal Makhani and Paneer Lababdar to Mutton Rogan Josh, Chicken Dum Biryani and a full tandoor section.

Menus are built with you: pure-veg for a tilak or mundan, veg and non-veg counters for a reception, a Chinese counter for a birthday, chaat and tandoor live at the entrance. Jain and no-onion-no-garlic preparations are arranged on request.

How it works

Four steps, and the date is yours.

Tell us the date

Send the date, the occasion and a rough guest count. We check all three halls and come back with what's free.

See the hall

Come and walk the floor, or we'll do it on a video call. You pick the hall and the layout, and we plan the menu with you.

Block it

An advance holds the date. Decor, sound, timings and the guest count get locked in writing so nothing is left to memory.

Show up

Your coordinator runs the day — setup, kitchen timing, service. You handle the guests; we handle the rest.

Advance, GST and cancellation These depend on the hall, the date and the season — a wedding-season Saturday is not the same as a weekday conference. The events desk confirms the exact figures when you enquire.

Plan your event

Build your enquiry in thirty seconds.

Answer what you know — leave the rest. We'll suggest the hall that fits, and it all reaches our events desk in one go so nothing gets asked twice.

Questions

Asked before every booking.

How many guests can you take?
Jalsa holds up to 400, Vatika up to 250 and Baithak up to 100 — those are floating, buffet-style numbers. Seated at round tables the same halls take roughly 240, 150 and 60. The capacity table above has every layout.
Can we bring our own caterer?
Catering is from our own kitchen — the same one that runs Mezbani downstairs. It's how we keep the timing and the quality under our control on the day. Menus are built with you, including pure-veg, Jain and no-onion-no-garlic preparations.
Is decor included, or do we arrange it?
Decor and stage setup are part of what we handle, along with sound and lighting. If you already have a decorator you want to work with, tell the events desk when you enquire and we'll work that out with you.
What does it cost?
It depends on the hall, the date, the guest count and the menu — a wedding-season Saturday evening in Jalsa is a different number from a weekday conference in Baithak. Send us your date and guest count and the events desk will give you a full figure, not a guess.
Do you have parking?
Yes — parking for guests is included with the hall. On very large weddings we put someone on the gate to keep the entrance clear.
Can outstation guests stay at the hotel?
That is one of the main reasons families book here. We have Standard, Deluxe and Suite rooms in the same building, and when you book Jalsa or Vatika we hold room rates for your guests.
How far in advance should we book?
For a wedding-season date, as early as you can — those go first. For a conference or a birthday, a couple of weeks is usually enough. Either way, send the date and we'll tell you straight away whether it's free.
Can we see the hall before booking?
Please do. The halls are open most days — walk in, or call ahead and we'll keep someone free to show you around. If you're out of town, we'll do it on a video call.
